Who's Full Of BS?

If you listen to my conservative friends you’ll hear them say the liberals are full of BS and if you listen to my liberal friends you will hear them say the conservatives are full of BS. Which of my friends should you listen to? Which ones are right? Who’s full of BS and who’s not?

Well it depends…. It depends on your BS whether you think the liberals or conservatives are full of BS.

No matter who you think is full of BS you will always be correct because, whether or not you think BS is a bad thing and no matter the meaning you give to the letters BS, those letters always, at the deeper level, stand for Belief System.
So the answer to the question of who’s full of BS is always… everyone.

Unfortunately we don’t think it is BS when it agrees with our own BS-Belief System and that is what creates most of the problems in communication. Not only with different political parties but also friends, family and loved ones as well as business relationships.

If we ever get to the point where we can accept the actuality ‘that what I think is true is really just my BS-Belief System’ then we can begin to be, do and have more of what will actually make us happy.
Because we have accepted our own BS as true we judge people, places and things, as …

    not worthy,
    needing to change,
    needing to improve,
    needing to do this different,
    needing to do that different

And if that’s not bad enough because we think our BS is true we do the same thing to ourselves that we do to others. We think we are flawed and need to improve this or that. Not only do we think others are wrong, we also think we are wrong as well.

The longer I live the more I come to realize how most everything is deeply influenced, managed and controlled by the first two Forgotten Fundamentals of An Exquisite Life

The Individual IS the Meaning Maker. Nothing has any meaning to the individual until the individual adds it. As an individual you do not have to believe anything. However, whatever you do believe WILL BECOME, your perceived and felt reality. In other words your BS.
Energy flows, builds, charges and strengthens where you attention goes. This is how everything gets manifested.

As an example of how our BS makes one thing right or good and another wrong or bad the actuality is since the Individual (you/me) is the Meaning Maker. The Individual is the one who adds the yin/yang (+/-). Without the individual to give yin a meaning of better/worse, right/wrong, different from yang, they aren’t separate both yin and yang are whole (one) and has zero meaning.

Until the Meaning Maker (the individual-you/me) ADDS a meaning there is no inherent meaning.

Now here is where it gets interesting. Even without giving any energy a meaning (+/-) all yin and yang energy moves through the individual.

The only difference is when one is aligned (neutral, giving no meaning) one can feel EVERY energy, every yin/yang, and every label of +/- as it will move through your system. And yet there is no charge, no hook nothing for the energy to hang onto so it flows right through the system.

And here is the beautiful part of that when you can experience every e-motion, energy in motion without slowing it down (i.e. adding a meaning) the result of this is best described as bliss. (Which is also an emotion that if you do not add meaning to will flow as well. Energy flows, that’s the nature of duality. Adding meaning stops or more accurately slows the energy down in an attempt to make it solid which blocks the other energy one could call bliss from flowing.

Remember it is not yin or yang, it is yin and yang and there is the individual who adds, or not, meaning to either. And then which either the individual puts attention on… that builds, charges and strengthens and becomes one’s experience.

To practically apply this let’s use an example from Don Miguel Ruiz’s The Four Agreements…

Nothing other people do is because of you.  It is because of themselves.  All people live in their own dream, in their own mind; they are in a completely different world from the one we live in.  When we take something personally, we make the assumption that they know what is in our world, and we try to impose our world on their world.

Even when a situation seems so personal, even if others insult you directly, it has nothing to do with you.  What they say, what they do, and the opinions they give are according to the agreements they have in their own minds.  Their point of view comes from all the programming they received during domestication.

If someone gives you an opinion and says, ‘Hey, you look so fat,’ don’t take it personally, because the truth is that this person is dealing with his or her own feelings, beliefs, and opinions.  That person tried to send poison to you and if you take it personally, then you take that poison and it becomes yours.  …

When you take things personally, then you feel offended and your reaction is to defend your beliefs and create conflicts.  You make something big out of something so little, because you have the need to be right and make everybody else wrong. …

It is not important to me what you think about me, and I don’t take what you think personally.  I don’t take it personally when people say, ‘Miguel, you are the best,’ and I also don’t take it personally when they say, “Miguel, you are the worst.’ …

No, I don’t take it personally.  Whatever you think, whatever you feel, I know is your problem and not my problem.  It is the way you see the world.  It is nothing personal, because you are dealing with yourself, not with me.  Others are going to have their own opinion according to their belief system, but nothing they think about me is really about me, but it is about them. …

If you live without fear, if you love, there is no place for those [negative] emotions.  If you don’t feel any of those emotions, it is logical that you will feel good.  When you feel good, everything around you is good.  When everything around you is great, everything makes you happy.  You are loving everything that is around you because you are loving yourself. … You live in that state of bliss where everything is so wonderful, and everything is so beautiful. In that state of bliss you are making love all the time with everything you perceive.

Here is a game you can play. At first you can play this whenever you get upset or you feel emotionally charge. Simply ask yourself, “Did I just make that meaning up?” And of course the answer is always yes because, you are the meaning maker. So what other meaning could you make up that would feel better than how your feeling now?

The game is to make three different meaning for the same events and only one of them can be negative. After you have played that game for a while you can ask yourself after every thought, did I just make that meaning up? So now, who’s full of BS?
